Frightened, critically injured, in desperate need of our help

Blue was found injured by the roadside in Ethiopia, her mother missing and her sister dead beside her – her young fragile life hanging in the balance.

Blue’s Story

Just a few months old when rescued, tiny cheetah cub Blue has already endured so much.

Our Ethiopia Country Director, Bereket Girma, recently received a devastating phone call. Two cheetah cubs had been hit by a car in Yabelo Wildlife Sanctuary, a large, protected area in southern Ethiopia. There was no sign of their mum and, tragically, one cub had been instantly killed. The second, a little girl, was terribly wounded but fighting for life.

Thanks to the efforts of Bereket and his team, she is clinging to life – but she urgently needs your help.

Blue now needs medicines, nutritious food and loving care to survive, and Born Free’s unique rescue centre is the only hope for Blue and other cheetahs in Ethiopia who have been injured, orphaned or confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade.

Please help Blue get the urgent care she needs by giving a gift today.
