WHAT WOULD YOU CALL BORN FREE’S MAMMOTH NEW PROJECT?

Born Free Launches A New Poll And YOU Can Cast Your Vote!

To celebrate Save the Elephant Day on Friday 16th April, Born Free has announced a public poll to decide a name for our exciting new elephant and giraffe conservation project in Meru Conservation Area in Kenya. Here, in Born Free’s heartland – where our story began and Elsa the lioness was returned to the wild and where we’ve been working to protect lions since 2014 – we are working with our partners to ensure the conservation and long-term future of elephants and their giant giraffe savannah mates.

“To be honest, every day is Save the Elephant Day here at Born Free,” said our Head of Conservation Dr Nikki Tagg, “but we’d love supporters to get involved in this important new initiative. The project is especially focused on protecting elephants and reticulated giraffes but it doesn’t yet have a name.”

To enter our public poll just choose which of these three possible project names you prefer. Born Free’s…

  • …Living With Giants
  • …Megafauna Of Meru
  • …Saving Meru’s Giants
