News – king: one week on

KING – ONE WEEK ON

It’s been nearly a week since King was introduced to his new home at our big cat sanctuary in Shamwari, South Africa, so how’s he getting on?

Our animal care team are really pleased with his progress. He is slowly exploring his new home and observing everything around him.

Animal Care Manager Glen Vena says King also loves hearing the other big cats at the sanctuary roaring.

“All is well and it is so fulfilling to see him at home in his own space, doing things in his own time and at his own pace, away from harm,” Glen adds.

This afternoon (13th July) King also experienced African rain for the first time. The much-needed downpour turned the earth a deep red and gave King a good clean.

Once again, thank you so much to every single one of our amazing supporters for your generosity in making King’s move to Africa possible. Thank you for every penny, share, like, comment, retweet and regram we received. We couldn’t have done it without you and you have made a real difference to the life of our little cub with the mighty name.
