Daisy dreamland!

The rainy season has just ended in Ethiopia, and the rescued cheetahs’ spacious enclosures are full of beautiful yellow meskel flowers.

Indigenous to Ethiopia, the daisies turn the enclosures into a lush wilderness of green and yellow.

But your cheetahs aren’t a fan of the rain, choosing to shelter in their dens or under trees.

The mountain rainforests of Kahuzi-Biega National Park in Congo are a vital stronghold for eastern lowland gorillas and numbers are steadily increasing in the park. As you can see, funded by adopters, a dedicated team keep a watchful eye, noting the gorillas’ behaviour and checking on their health each day.

Do you remember the baby pangolin rescued last year having lost her mother? Mona was flourishing back in the wild but, lost a bit of weight after it rained too hard in Central African Republic for her to forage. The team took her in to feed her up on extra ants and, thankfully, she passed their health check with flying colours.

How does a hot cat keep cool on a sunny day in India?! You might be surprised to learn that tigers are excellent swimmers and love to spend time in water, especially when it’s hot. We knew you’d love to see this footage of your magnificent Gopal, taking it easy in his shady pool at our sanctuary in Bannerghatta.

Good news from the forests of Borneo, where your orphan Timtom is preparing for life in the wild. Two females, Ilik and Sheila, recently gave birth to healthy boys, taking the number of recorded births in Lamandau Wildlife Reserve to nine in 12 months. Thanks to adopters, our Orangutan Foundation colleagues keep these rare apes safe.
